Mindset

Your mindset, more than your circumstances, determines your happiness and success; while changing it can be challenging, awareness and desire to change are key steps toward transformational growth.

I kind of feel like it might be EVERYTHING.

Where you are, what you have, the state of your finances, relationships, even health. None of these determine your happiness and success more than your mindset.

We are taught that “seeing is believing”. More accurately believing is seeing! What this means is that your perspective will determine what you see, what information you will extract, what meaning you will attach to it, what assumptions you will make, and consequently how you will choose to act.

The good news is that mindset is changeable. But being stuck in patterns is difficult to break. And most of it is unconscious. Awareness is the first step, and then wanting to change is second. It helps if someone or events in your life make you realize that the stories you tell yourself in your head, that influence everything you see, are no longer relevant or useful for you. A new story or self image is needed.

I’m looking forward to discovering more about this critical step in transformational change. I can’t wait to discover how to effectively change our mindset.
